THE FOCO POUR OVER STAND
THE FOCO POUR OVER STAND
Named after the awesome Colorado city it was created in Fort Collins. I focus on using sustainably sourced Siberian Elm from Northern Colorado. This dark hardwood is very strong and has great grain patterns. These trees are frequently cut down, either due to disease or damage, then often sent to landfills. This Elm was conserved and professionally milled by Baldwin Hardwoods. The 45° mitered edges are reinforced with walnut dowels, mostly for aesthetic reasons, but they do provide increased strength. Not that it needs it, this joint will hold up the strongest coffee you can brew! A 100% plant-based oil/wax finish was used called simple finish. This finish is both durable and non-toxic.
Why make coffee this way?
It makes a better tasting cup of coffee! Pour over coffee allows for more control over the brewing process that allows the natural oils and vibrant flavors to pass through the filter into your cup. This process is the same as glass pour over systems with metal filters without the risk of breaking the fragile glass.
